Frequently asked questions

How do I book an appointment ?

Your appointment can be booked online directly from our booking site. Simply Click on the "Book Your Appointment" option and you will be routed to our offical booking site. If you are experiencing issues, you can go to EssenceTrinity.as.me to book.
Do you accept appointments before or after your regular business hours?

Yes! I may be able to accommodate appointments before or after my regular business hours for an additional $20 fee.

If you are interested in an appointment outside of my regular hours, please text me at (773) 444-8065 with your requested date and time. I will review my availability and either approve or decline the request.

If your request is approved, I will prompt you to book your appointment. I will manually adjust the appointment time on my end.

When booking, you will be prompted to pay your required deposit and add $20 as a tip. Please note that this $20 is not an actual tip—it is the required before/after-hours appointment fee.

Before/after-hours appointments are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
Where are you located?

📍 Location: 1524 W. 87th Street, Chicago, IL

Essence Trinity Skin Studio is located inside Dream Suites. When you arrive, look for the Dream Suites sign/name on the door. Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time and text me when you arrive. I’ll come meet you at the door and let you into the suite.

There is also a lobby available if you arrive a few minutes early and need somewhere to wait.
Do we require a deposit to book an appointment?

Yes. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of your service total is required to secure your appointment. Your remaining balance will be due at the time of your appointment.

You also have the option to pay for your service in full when booking, including your tip if you’d like to take care of everything in advance.
What happens if I'm running late?

There is no grace period, so please plan to arrive a few minutes early to allow time for parking, using the restroom, and getting settled. Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you, and we want you to have your full scheduled session time.

If you anticipate being late, please reach out via SMS at (773) 444-8065 as soon as possible. Depending on how late you are, we may or may not be able to complete your appointment.

If you have add-ons or multiple services booked, we may be able to accommodate you by downgrading or removing certain services to fit within your remaining appointment time. However, please understand that you will still be responsible for the remaining balance of the time slot you originally booked, as that time was reserved exclusively for you and could have been booked by another client.

If you arrive too late to reasonably complete your appointment, you will need to reschedule, and a new non-refundable 50% deposit will be required to secure your new appointment.
What are the hours of operation?

We are currently open 7 days a week!

Monday–Thursday: 10:00 AM–9:00 PM

Friday–Saturday: 11:00 AM–7:00 PM

Sunday: 11:00 AM–4:00 PM
Can I get waxed while on my menstrual cycle?

Yes! You can absolutely receive a wax while on your menstrual cycle. Fresh wipes and tampons are provided for you to use at the beginning of your service to help you feel clean and comfortable.

Please keep in mind that your skin may be more sensitive during your period, which can make waxing feel a little more intense than usual.

If you anticipate your period starting around your appointment and would prefer to reschedule, we recommend booking around your cycle when possible or reaching out at least 24 hours before your appointment.

Please remember that you are allowed one reschedule per deposit, and your deposit will remain non-refundable.
Is it ok to shave, trim, or use a depilatory cream before my wax appointment?

If you're planning to wax, please avoid shaving or using depilatory creams before your appointment. Your hair needs enough length for the wax to properly grip and remove it from the root.

If your hair is longer than you'd like, light trimming is okay, but please avoid trimming it too short. If you're unsure, it's usually best to leave it as-is and let your esthetician assess it during your appointment.

Please do not use depilatory creams (such as Nair) before waxing. These products can make the skin more sensitive and increase the risk of irritation or skin lifting during your wax.

Not sure if your hair is the right length? Don't stress—we can assess it when you arrive.
How should I prepare for wax my appointment?

To help make your waxing experience as comfortable and effective as possible:

  • Arrive with clean skin and avoid applying lotions, oils, or heavy products to the area being waxed.
  • Do not shave before your appointment. If you need to trim, leave enough hair for the wax to grip.
  • Avoid exfoliating the area immediately before your appointment. Give your skin time to calm down.
  • Avoid using depilatory creams such as Nair before your wax.
  • If possible, avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning before your appointment.
  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to minimize friction after waxing.
  • If you're more sensitive around your menstrual cycle, keep that in mind when choosing your appointment date.
  • Please arrive a few minutes early so you're ready to begin at your scheduled appointment time.

Most importantly, don't overthink it! Your esthetician will guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have.
How should I prepare for my facial or body treatment?

For the best experience and to help keep your skin comfortable, please arrive with your skin in its normal, clean state.

Before your appointment:

  • Do not exfoliate the treatment area immediately before your appointment.
  • Avoid using scrubs, exfoliating acids, retinoids, or other strong active products on the area being treated prior to your service.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning before your appointment.
  • Do not pick, squeeze, or attempt to extract blemishes or ingrown hairs before your appointment.
  • Arrive with the treatment area clean and free of heavy lotions, oils, or other products when possible.
  • If you recently had a peel, facial, waxing service, or other skin treatment, please let us know before your appointment.
  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being treated.

Your skin doesn't need to be “perfect” before you arrive. Just come as you are, and we'll take care of the rest!
Can I still get serviced when pregnant?

Yes! You can receive services while pregnant. However, pregnancy can cause your skin to become more sensitive, so your comfort and safety are always a priority during your appointment.

If you are booking while pregnant, please select the “I Am Expecting” add-on when choosing your desired service.

There is no additional charge for this add-on. It simply allows us to reserve additional time for your appointment so we can make any necessary adjustments and ensure you are as comfortable as possible throughout your service.

If you have any concerns about receiving a specific service during pregnancy, please consult with your healthcare provider before booking.
What do I do when I arrive for my appointment ?

Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time. Once you arrive, send us a text message letting us know you’re here, and I’ll come meet you at the door. (773)444-8065

If I’m able to accommodate you earlier than your scheduled appointment time, I’ll reach out and let you know that you’re welcome to come in early. Please do not enter or wait inside before your appointment unless you’ve been given the okay to do so.

What should I do (and avoid) after waxing?

DO 💙

  • Keep the waxed area clean and dry after your appointment.
  • Wear loose, breathable clothing to minimize friction.
  • Give your skin time to calm down before applying products to the area.
  • Follow your recommended waxing aftercare routine to help maintain smooth skin and reduce the chance of ingrown hairs.
  • Stay consistent with your aftercare between appointments.

DON’T 🚫

For the first 24–48 hours, avoid:

  • Hot baths, hot tubs, saunas, and steam.
  • Intense workouts or activities that cause excessive sweating.
  • Swimming.
  • Excessive sun exposure or tanning.
  • Tight clothing that creates friction on the waxed area.
  • Fragranced products, harsh soaps, scrubs, or strong active ingredients on freshly waxed skin.
  • Picking, scratching, or touching the area unnecessarily.
  • Sexual activity if you've received a Brazilian or bikini wax, as friction can irritate freshly waxed skin.
  • No exfoliating

Do you service minors?

Yes! Essence Trinity Skin Studio services clients ages 14–17 for select services. All minor appointments require parent/guardian consent, and the parent or legal guardian must be present for the entire appointment.

Waxing Services for Ages 14–17

Ages 14–17 may book:

  • Underarm Wax
  • Lower Leg Wax
  • Thigh Wax
  • Full Leg Wax

Ages 16–17 may book:

  • Bikini Wax

Age 17 may book:

  • Brazilian Wax

Important: Waxing services for minors are available to female clients only.

Facials & Back Treatments

Clients ages 14–17 may also enjoy select facials and back treatments when appropriate. These services must be booked under the “Youth Services | Ages 14–17 | Female Only” tab on the booking site.

Booking Requirements

A parent or legal guardian must book the appointment on behalf of the minor and provide the child's information when prompted during booking, including:

  • Child's full name
  • Child's age
  • Child's date of birth

Please also bring a form of documentation or proof of the child's age to the appointment! If you do not bring this form, your appointment will be cancelled and deposit will be forfeited! We do not want any personal forms sent via email or SMS, you can bring a form to the appointment.

Clients under the age of 14 will not be serviced.

If you are unsure whether your child's age qualifies for a specific service, please reach out before booking.
Do you service Men?

Yes! Men are welcome to book select services at Essence Trinity Skin Studio. 💙

Because I offer several different esthetic services, my booking site is organized into separate service categories. Each tab will clearly indicate who can book the services within that category:

  • Women Only — Services available exclusively for women.
  • Men Only — Services specifically designed or offered for men.
  • Men & Women — Services available for both men and women.

When booking, please make sure you are selecting a service from the appropriate tab and reviewing the service description before scheduling.
